Rasa Bernotienė, PhD is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry, Medical Academy of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, and a researcher at the Molecular Neurobiology Laboratory. She obtained her PhD in Biological Sciences from Kaunas University of Medicine, and holds both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Biology from Vytautas Magnus University.

Dr. Bernotienė’s research interests focus on molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetics, with particular emphasis on exosome-based applications in pharmacology and biomedicine, including targeted drug delivery and bioactive compound research. She has been actively involved in several national and applied research projects related to exosome technologies, plant-derived bioactive substances, and the development of innovative products for pharmaceutical and industrial applications.

In addition to her research activities, Dr. Bernotienė has extensive teaching experience in biochemistry, supervises undergraduate theses, and contributes to academic quality assurance and curriculum development. She is a member of the Medical and Veterinary Genetics study program committee and actively participates in scientific conferences, presenting her research findings to the academic community.
